ANGLIAN WATER – FRAMINGHAM EARL, PORINGLAND, CAISTER ST EDMUND and BIXLEY Water Mains Replacement Scheme, NOVEMBER 2015
Anglian Water are in the process of replacing 11.4km of pipe in and around Framingham Earl. Your area was prioritised because of the high number of leaks and bursts on the pipes recently and replacing entire sections of pipe is the best solution to keep your water supply flowing. By planning the work in this way we can minimise disruption to the local community.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUR COMMUNITY
Work on this project is being phased into four sections in an effort to reduce the impact of the work:
Phase 1 –Shotesham Road, started in December 2015.
Phase 2 – Caistor Lane / Markshall Lane, is due to start in January 2016.
Phase 3 – Arminghall Lane, is due to start in December 2015.
Phase 4 – B1332 (The Street / Norwich Road, Poringland) is due to start in April 2016.
Temporary traffic lights will be used as the work moves along the length of the B1332 and road closures will be required for Shotesham Road, Arminghall Lane, Caistor Lane and Markshall Lane but access will be maintained for residents who live within the closed roads.
WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOU. We will write to local residents before work commences to inform you of proposed starting dates and who to contact on site if you have any questions. Once work is under way we may need to turn off your water supply for a short time while we connect the new pipes but we will give you 48 hours notice before we do this.
