- Update on the parish’s position in relation to the East Pye Solar Farm proposal.
The chairman briefed members on the latest meeting. The key points were…
- The group are proposing increasing the positioning of signs ..some very large..to vigorously bring the scheme to the notice of residents and the large number of visitors who come to Shotesham to enjoy the ‘unspoilt’ countryside.
- Volunteers will be sought to help with the surveying of all fields within the East Pye proposal. This will show that the current plans will result in irrecoverable damage to the countryside.
6.Defibrillator.
- A positive discussion was supported re the possibility of acquiring a second defibrillator for the village. The DC John Cook offered financial support if needed,
- It was thought helpful if a second defibrillatr could be sited outside The Trinity. This would at the opposite end of the village from the current one and would be helpfully near meetings held there and close to residents.
7.Footpaths
- Concern was expressed that footpath FP22 has not been reinstated after some weeks. A direct approach will be made to the land owner
- FP21and its diversion is still ongoing. Formal concern will be expressed if nothing is heard by the next meeting.
- The Footpath coordinator will be asked for an update on the overall footpath network as soon as possible as no report has been received ,so far, this year.
